2008 Bubble Ball Raises over $110,000 towards Ending Domestic Violence
Between Friends along with our supporters celebrated our newly remodeled annual gala, the Bubble Ball, on March 8th, 2008. Nearly 300 guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, live music, and a silent auction and raffle at Architectural Artifacts, a museum-like showroom featuring 80,000 square feet of elegant, unusual treasures from around the world. The Bubble Ball 2008 was our most successful annual gala yet which raised over $110,000 in critical funds to enable Between Friends to provide free services to domestic violence victims and prevention and education programming to Chicago’s most vulnerable adolescents.
Between Friends staff and board are deeply grateful to our 2008 event committee for their help in making this our most successful fundraiser to date- James Walker and Patti Doyle, Co-Chairs and Keryl Klemm, Gregg Peck, Maheen Cleaver, Elissa Holder, and Heather Treadway, Committee Members. We would also like to extend our appreciation to our sponsors: Allstate Insurance Company; Ariel Investments; Bank Financial; Coverdell and Company; First Trust Portfolios; Harrison Wallace Financial Group; Kamerlink, Stark, McCormack and Powers, LLC.; The Joseph Kellman Family Foundation; Saunders and Doyle Law Firm; St. Francis Hospital; and Walgreens.
